It’s been a busy week. So busy that the extent of my cooking has involved throwing some pasta in water and cracking open a jar of pesto. Seriously. I forgot how difficult it was to find the time/desire/ability to cook after a long day of work. But I will get it.
At least Shawn hopes so.
Anyway, in the absence of any new, interesting, pithy recipes or food products to write about here, I present you with a selection of links to thinks I’ve written elsewhere recently. Enjoy.
- Prohibition ended years and years ago, right? Wrong. Some towns still maintain this ghastly law, but one in Connecticut recently joined us over here on the dark side and allowed liquor to be sold in a new restaurant there. MuuuWAaahahahahaha!
- What food reminds you of childhood? A New York Times writer recently wrote about this and I explore the connection a bit over at Paper Palate.
- I admit, I am not really into wines. I have yet to get used to their tastes or appreciate the nuances of a fine wine. Nonetheless, last week at Hump Day Horizons on Food Bound, I looked at some up and coming books that look promising. Hey, maybe I can pick up a thing or two from them.
