I never went strawberry picking with my kids but will definitely plan to do this with my granddaughter. We picked apples every fall. One of our best excursions was in a van to celebrate my best friend’s daughter’s birthday. It started to drizzle so we all ate the sandwiches and other goodies we’d prepared. Then the rains topped, everyone picked apples and took a bag home as a favor. It’s one of the highlights from the kids’ memories. Such sweet, sweet times that you are now having with your kids. Thanks for sharing.

That last picture reminds me – when I got home, I discovered a white under-ripe strawberry and decided to try one. Not too terrible, tart – reminded me of a sweet and tart – with less sweet
