Adding ham in your fried rice isn’t strange. I have done that. Adding cheese is new to me though, especially since that and ham is the only ingredients in the rice.

Finding Bliss, this could definitely be a vegetarian dish. It’s been a long time since I cooked with meat substitutes, so I am not sure exactly what is out there. Perhaps something like ham? Or another thought is to trade the ham for broccoli.

I’m a vegetarian so I don’t eat meat, but otherwise this sounds really yummy. There are veggie meat substitutes that might work really well in this recipe? By adding the protein, this is a ‘complete dinner’ type recipe, rather than a side dish. It’s awesome that this is organic, as well. Rice + cheese and no guilt!

WOW! My fiance is a rice fanatic. He could eat it everyday! I try to make a variety of rice dishes but run out of ideas often. He loves when I pair fried rice with our leftover veggies and meat but I never thought of ham and cheese. Can’t wait to try this!
