I guess where there's bitter butter, there's better butter . . . I buy organic butter, but I am tempted to give this a try. Your description is very intriguing. And we eat so little of it, that my butter bill isn't all that huge as it is . . .

Jenn, it's among the less expensive fancy butters -- my grocery sells it for about $4 a tub. Still, more expensive. But if you ever get the opportunity, do try it!

Lydia, I can't believe how different it is.

Josephine, I haven't tried that one. Shawn was using some butter alternative for awhile that he really liked, but then grew tired of. I just can't give up the real thing though (in moderation, of course!).

I'm a huge fan of Kate's, and have sung its praises on my blog, too -- I use it to bake the hundreds of cookies we donate to shelters and food pantries every year. It really does taste better.

Sarah, you and i must be on the same wave length. First grilled pizza, now butter. My fiance and I have recently discovered Move Over Butter which is a whipped sweet cream buttermilk spread. it is 65% vegetable oil (ok so it's not really butter) but it tastes like butter and is much more satisfying than the other spreads we've tried. My fiance likes to use salted butter and this spread has just a hint of salt to make him put that butter dish back in the fridge. I am out of work at the moment so we are pinching pennies. This was the least expensive tubs on the butter isle. It also has no cholesterol and is only 6g of fat per serving. You can find it at Walmart. I have never heard of Kate's and maybe one day when my wallet will allow me to splurge I will hunt it down and give it a try.
