You’re totally right. It’s wonderfully written, and it’s inspirational but it’s not things I’m going to make “by-the-book,” so to speak! I had no idea it was his first book.

I have some other book of his (the one organized by “Braising,” etc) and the crepe recipe there has (shhh) replaced my grandmother’s!
