1. pasta
2. canned tomatoes
3. few different kinds of olive oil
4. aged balsamic
5. salt & pepper (few types of each)
6. tahini
7. all spices but especially my favorite dill
8. rice/grains – brown rice, couscous, quinoa, etc
9. tuna
10. popcorn
11. dog treats 🙂

Of course I’d have a hard time picking 10 must-have pantry items, but key on the list would be salt, pepper (various types), olive oil, lemons, canned tomato, balsamic vinegar, beans, and Chinese chili paste with garlic.

By: Emily H. Wed, 27 Jan 2010 05:02:13 +0000 It would be hard to narrow it down since we’re a family of six and everyone has their favorite dishes, but for me the list would look something like this (using your same self-imposed rules and in no particular order):

1. Flours–whole wheat and unbleached white
2. Sugars–light brown and granulated
3. Salt–RealSalt (my absolute fave)
4. Chocolate chips–semi-sweet, milk, chunks, mini and dark
5. Black beans
6. Oils–olive and canola
7. Baking powder
8. Baking soda
9. Oatmeal
10. Nesquik

Can you tell we do a lot of cookie baking and my kids have a penchant for chocolate milk? 😉
