Like your grandmother, I’m not one for cooking. However, every once in a while I like to make a full-fledged “fancy” meal– mostly on weekends LOL This recipe looks fantastic and my kids love ham and chicken so I am flagging it for future use for sure.

Hi Rob, thanks for the comment! Since this was working from my grandmother’s recipe, I went with her spelling of the dish, though you are right that it is correctly spelled Chicken Cordon Bleu. I should have noted that in the recipe/post — but have now. The cordon bleu translates to “blue ribbon,” meaning it’s a winning dish. Quite a fun name for a tasty dinner, right?

It’s actually chicken Cordon BLEU… French for blue. Other than that… seems delicious!
