I love this idea. Recently I had a few instances where I had only one child with me and it was fantastic. It did not occur to me to take them out to dinner somewhere nice though. I love it. I might try this tonight with my daughter after a birthday party she has. How old is your son?

I totally agree! Kids won’t learn to be polite in public restaurants if you don’t give them practice!

I completely agree with every single thing you wrote. I too am firmly in the “Expose your kids to a wide variety of life experiences and teach them the proper way to handle themselves in any given situation.” camp!
