    Cupcakes reminds me of small yummy tidbits for keeps when I was 8 with grandma. Imagining the salt melted caramel mixing the mocha taste hmmmm it taste terrific. Aside from caramel, what other toppings can also be used for alternative?

      Thanks for the comment — For this recipe, use caramel. Anything else will change the flavor and ultimately make the cupcake something else. But if you are totally against caramel, you could drizzle with cooled chocolate ganache.
