Tart lemonade meets sweet berries in these icy, refreshing Easiest Strawberry Lemonade Slushies. It couldn’t be easier to make with one of the best K-Cup flavors: lemonade.

Keurig Strawberry Lemonade Slushie

It’s strawberry season here in Connecticut. Those brilliant red berries are just waiting to be plucked from heaping plants close to the ground. Strawberry picking is one of our very favorite activities, and one we’ve done so often that we know when to get the juiciest berries (hint: mid-to-late-season strawberries are the biggest, best and sweetest). However, I am not sure we will make it to the fields this season. Big things are happening that have us crazy busy right now … but more on that soon.

Despite being too busy to get to the fields for strawberry picking, we aren’t missing out on strawberry season here. In fact, we’re enjoying them however we can — including in these super easy slushies made with my handy dandy Keurig brewer (seriously — love that thing!) and a blender. Yes, really, the Keurig can be used for this cold drink! It is so versatile.

Have you seen the “Brew Over Ice” varieties? They have a little blue “Brew Over Ice” designation on the packages. It’s a fun concept: Keurig varieties intended to be enjoyed cold that are made by literally brewing them over ice. (Hint: you want to brew into plastic glasses when doing “Brew Over Ice” varieties — these plastic mason jars are perfect for it.) Yum. I headed to Walmart recently to check out the variety of flavors available (there’s iced tea, iced coffee and more!).

On an endcap, I found so many flavors: Snapple Peach Iced Tea and Lemon Iced Tea, Donut Shop Iced Coffee and more. But the Green Mountain Lemonade caught my eye. After all, lemonade is so summer — and I wanted to make a memorable slushie, so what better to start with them a fresh-brewed cup of lemonade? The Green Mountain Naturals Lemonade Pods brewed up a perfect, sweet-tart glass of lemonade … and that was just right for these slushies.

Keurig Brew Over Ice

Brewing the lemonade over frozen strawberries? It takes that tasty lemonade and makes it something extra special. I mean … Strawberry Lemonade Slushies? They are like summery heaven.

Oh, and one more thing … did you know that you can recycle K-Cups? Keurig has its own program called Grounds to Grow, which offers a way for K-Cup users to return the cups for processing that separates grounds from the plastic for reuse. Pretty cool, right?
