I wanted the desserts to be light [...]

Mmm, chocolate dipped pretzels. These could quite possibly be the easiest things I have ever, ever made. Seriously. And of all the treats I made to give away this season, they got the biggest wow. Go figure.
How did I do it? It all started with a bag of pretzel rods (be sure your bag has [...]

I received The Good Home Cookbook in the mail a few days ago after Andy of Spittoon Extra fame alerted me to these babies being given away to good homes so long as they got honestly written about.
Honesty? That’s my specialty!
First off, I was totally shocked by the size of this cookbook. [...]

The Secret of the Palmier

There was a mad rush at my desk yesterday as word spread through the office that there were cookies. Gotta love it. There is nothing better than hearing the mmm’s of people enjoying something you’ve made. That’s enough to get me cooking even more frequently to share.
In truth, the cookies were for my husband’s office. [...]

So when I was trying to decide what to make first in honor of FitFare’s Fall Feast-ival, two thoughts came to mind: pumpkin and apples. These are the two fall produce items that I most associate with fall. Now I L-O-V-E pumpkin, but I haven’t worked much with apples. That, to me, sounded like [...]

I am not a big fan of oatmeal raisin cookies. Really. I rarely touch them. So you can imagine my surprise when that was exactly what I wanted - no craved - last week. It must be the hot weather getting to me…or the medicine for the bronchitis (yes, ladies and gentlemen, I managed to [...]
