If I had a dollar for every time my kids noticed a movie poster and asked a billion times if we could see the movie … well, I would be pretty rich. I really wish I could say yes every single time (but have you see ticket prices lately?? And the cost of popcorn?!?) Anyway, this is every bit the case with The Smurfs 2 — the kids are dying to see it. Apparently they have super warm and fuzzy memories of the first Smurfs movie.
For that reason, and that reason alone, I jumped at the chance to have a sneak peek at the new The Smurfs 2 video game. And even though it’s not the most natural fit for this food blog, it was a great fit for our family.
When the Smurfs 2 video game arrived in the mail, I turned it over to my kids almost immediately — to great cheers. The excitement when they saw the familiar blue faces on the cover was incredible. And it continued — every day since they first tried the game.
See, this video game? Both kids liked it. They shared, trading it back and forth for turns. And when I asked my daughter about it, her eyes lit up — she especially loved playing the mini games as Smurfette (she was always my favorite too). Chalk this one up as a big, fat win.
If your kids enjoyed the Smurfs, then they will probably enjoy The Smuffs 2 game. It has “A Smurtastic Read Along Adventure” and lots of mini games too. Rated E for everyone, this is cute, clean fun. Given their joy, this game seems to be totally worth it.
