Since 2014, I’ve written a weekly newspaper column about food and life for the Bangor Daily News. It’s called Maine Course (aptly named by my brother), and appears online every Tuesday.
This week’s column features a recipe for Dark Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars, a tender, buttery, chocolatey cookie bar perfect for when you want a little treat. But the column isn’t just about this treat. It’s also about the importance of eating well, taking care of yourself and making good food choices. Yes, I do truly believe that you can eat well, and sometimes have a little treat like this.
