Since 2014, I’ve written a weekly newspaper column about food and life for the Bangor Daily News. It’s called Maine Course (aptly named by my brother), and appears online every Tuesday.
This week’s column features a recipe for Honey Cinnamon Applesauce, a perfect seasonal treat best made with tart apples. The honey and cinnamon produce a pleasant warmth in the sauce that makes it so comforting and delightful. This one is inspired by something I used to make with my Aunt Deb.
