Stepping Into A Healthier Me This Year (vitafusion™)

Leggings. Jeans. Black pants. Repeat.

That was my uniform for more than a year. After putting on more pounds than I care to remember, nothing fit and I just felt … gross. But while 2013 was about refinding joy in life, 2014 is about thriving — and that includes taking better care of myself.     I’ve been really working on pilates/strength training this year. I’m noticing such a difference. I have muscles for the first time ever!

    This year I am trying really hard not to eat fast food I have slipped a few times but overall I am doing pretty good.

    We participate in outdoor activities, such as sports as a family. We also maintain a healthy diet, and prepare all our meals at home. We barely order out.

    I’ve recently re-joined Weight Watchers (down almost 5 lbs!) and am incorporating exercise in every – single – day! What a difference making these changes has already made!

    I workout now, just started a few months ago – 5 – 6 days a week and cut out a lot of junk food. It’s so hard, but it gets easier day by day. I need to drink a lot more water and I don’t take my vitamins often enough. I should try these they look yummy!

    One of my health goals this year is to get to bed at an earlier time. I seem to be such a night owl even though I know I will be dragging the next day! Other than that, I try to always eat whole foods and, personally, avoid dairy as I feel much better when I do! :)

    I am starting off slow with flip fitness training and walking, because all of this didn’t come on my belly overnight!

    We are eating fewer processed foods this year and consuming more plant based foods. I’ve always exercised but am adding a bit more cross training to save my joints!

    I don’t have family at home any more so cooking has not been a priority. I’m trying to get back into the routine of making food at home so I know it’s healthy instead of hitting the fast food places.
