Having a busy schedule doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy good meals at home and laughs with your nearest and dearest. The trick is to combine convenience with creativity for delicious dinners and entertaining. And when it comes to the football season — which has finally arrived — a store bought frozen pizza can make quick work of tasty game day food.

But instead of your usual heat and serve routine, change it up with a fun twist — dipping it!

With a few easy ingredients, you can whip up dipping sauces that totally up your pizza game.

This trio of fresh dipping sauces includes a quick and easy blender marinara, a Mediterranean influenced roasted red pepper sauce and a basil pesto — all ready in just minutes. Heck, you could even make them ahead of time and just dish ’em out before serving.

Freschetta Pizza at Walmart

But what pizza should you serve ’em with? My kids and I dug into these with a Freschetta® Naturally Rising 4-Cheese Medley Pizza from Walmart. It has a flavorful, thicker crust that’s perfect for dipping. And, it cooks up in the oven in less than 20 minutes — so easy. After preheating, of course.

Of course, you could totally use a different variety — Freschetta has three different crust styles to choose from with a variety of toppings.

Dipping Sauce Trio Recipe

The Blender Marinara Dipping Sauce is as easy as it gets — just toss the simple ingredients into a blender, blend and boom! Ready to go. The flavor is so fresh and packed with that vibrancy of sweet basil and warm zing of roasted garlic.

As for the Roasted Red Pepper Dipping Sauce, it’s easy too — again, just toss it all in a blender for a vibrant sauce with the flavor of red peppers. And for the pesto, you can buy it or make your own pesto.

I serve this with little bites on the side like fresh tomatoes, cucumber slices, fresh mozzarella and marinated mushrooms. Slices of bell peppers would be a great addition to the little bites too.

Edwards Turtle Pie

We also picked up a tasty Edward’s pie for dessert (mmm, Turtle Pie!). Hey, if you’re going to have a delicious fun dinner, you should totally have dessert too. Right?
