This tangy-sweet Apple Honey Barbecue Glaze is easy to make and excellent on everything from chicken and pork chops to veggies and tofu.

Once upon a time, I refused to even touch the gas grill at my house, proclaiming it an assault on the tried and true charcoal grilling method that I grew up with. But, then I gave that gas grill a chance and realized how easy and convenient it can be.
Since then, I’ve vacillated between gas and charcoal at home, happy to cook on either type of grill.
All this interest in grilling has translated into my interest in what ingredients we use when we’re grilling. From marinades to seasoning rubs and everything in between, I am a firm believer in making your own whenever you can.

This is a good example of my make your own philosophy. In my house, we keep basic barbecue sauce all the time. But with so many varieties available in the store, it can be so temping to try bottled creative combinations even though it ends up being excess condiments in the house.
Instead, you can take your trusty go-to barbecue sauce and transform it into a glaze that gives you the fun combinations without adding additional condiments to your fridge or grocery bill.

This is my way of encouraging you to grab a few pantry items and customize your sauces. This Apple Honey Barbecue Glaze recipe is an excellent place to start. And it’s so easy! You simply cook together the ingredients for about 10 minutes and it’s ready to use.
Make it when you need it, or cook up a batch in advance. It’s entirely up to you.
Now, shall we get our grill on?
