Red Wine Marinade
Posted on February 27, 2006
This recipe makes enough to marinate two round steaks or one large London Broil.
The result is a very tasty, and slightly tart, marinade that works great for beef.
Use the leftover marinade to make gravy by combining equal parts of marinade and broth or water. Boil for 10 minutes, thicken with a 1:2 ratio of corn starch to water and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Red Wine Marinade
1 1/4 cup red wine
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp rosemary
1 tsp savory
1 tsp dried minced onion
- Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly
- Pour marinade over the meat, cover and let sit for one hour.
- Cook as desired
