Salmon with Lemon Caper Sauce

This easy Salmon with Lemon Caper Sauce recipe is luxurious — tender, moist, buttery, lemony and garlicky all at once. And so simple!

An elegant dinner is more than just a meal — it’s a curated experience and indulges the senses. It’s as much about what is on the plate as it is what the plate is on. Elegance can be understated in its sophisticated and refined.

But elegance need not be complicated. While meals like Salmon Cakes En Croute are undoubtedly elegant, so are ones like this Salmon with Lemon Caper Sauce. Ready in less than 30 minutes, this quick and easy dish is also an elegant dish with which you can delight the senses of your dinner companions.

Elegance doesn’t require meticulously arranged table settings or impeccable centerpieces. It requires attention to the details that matter.

I love to serve this with Lemon Butter Orzo but it would be equally as good with delicate mashed potatoes or rice pilaf. Steamed broccoli, roasted asparagus or a simple salad finish off this meal beautifully.

And then call the guests to the set table. Engage them with friendly, meaningful conversation that enhances your bonds and creates those moments that become good memories. Serve this elegant dinner and bask in the luxuriousness of the salmon and the sauce.

This is how the art of dining becomes a celebration of life’s pleasures.

This tender, beautiful, rich salmon is delectable bathed in the sauce — a velvety combination of tangy lemon, briny capers, bright garlic and rich butter. Each bite is a delightful dance of flavors.

Whether served as a weeknight dinner or as an elegant entrée for special occasions, this Salmon with Lemon Caper Sauce recipe is sure to impress even the most discerning palates.

  • 1 lb salmon filets (4 flilets)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested (about 1/4 cup juice)

  1. Turn the oven broiler on high. Line a small baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. Set the four salmon filets on the baking sheet, not touching. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Slide into the oven and broil for 8-10 minutes, until cooked through and golden at the edges.
  3. Remove from the oven.
  4. In a small skillet, melt the butter set over medium heat. Add the garlic and capers and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 1 minute. When the garlic is fragrant, add the lemon juice, lemon zest and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Stir vigorously for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  5. Place a salmon filet on each of four plates. Spoon the lemon caper sauce over each filet, dividing it evenly among the four plates.
  6. Serve immediatelyly
