Easy Strawberry Sweet Rolls with Lemon Glaze Recipe

Sweeten up your breakfast offerings with this easy recipe for Strawberry Sweet Rolls with Lemon Glaze. Made with strawberry jam, these are a tried and true favorite.

When it comes to summer, the first flavor I think of is strawberry. That probably has something to do with strawberries ripening in June. When my kids were younger, we’d go berry picking a few times each summer just as I had as a child.

We still try to. But priorities change as we grow.

If you happen to be a berry lover and pick quarts and quarts of them, you might just enjoy turning them into strawberry rhubarb jam or some other type of jam. It’s great to save for later — but also great for dolloping into thumbprint cookies.

And it’s also fantastic for rolling into these super simple sweet rolls. Freshly made jam isn’t required, but it sure makes things extra nice.

(To be clear: They’ll be good whether you use homemade jam or not.)

How to make strawberry sweet rolls

This easy, peasy recipe begins with ready-made dough. Puff pastry dough, to be exact. You can find it in the grocery store freezer section. Defrost it before using.

Once the dough is defrosted, these rolls take minutes to assemble.

Spread strawberry jam all over one side, roll them up and place in a glass baking dish. Then bake them to perfection.

Once they are done, drizzle them with the simple, easy, stir-together glaze.

Then, they’re ready to eat. Filled with strawberry jam, strawberry lovers will enjoy this fruity take on sweet rolls.
