Pinkies Up for the Disney Princess Tea Parties Cookbook!

Disney Princess Tea Parties is my newest cookbook, filled with scrumptious recipes for your next tea party! It debuts on April 19.

The cover of a cookbook with the title Disney Princess Tea Parties is shown. The cover is predominantly pink and has a tiered tray with scones, sandwiches, and parties on it. A vase with roses, a tea pot and tea cups sit nearby.

I am so excited. Somebody pinch me! I have a new cookbook due out on April 19 and it’s all about tea parties. But not just any tea parties … Disney Princess Tea Parties!

This cookbook is filled with everything from pastries to mini sandwiches, savory bakes to fun things to sip on. It’s exactly the cookbook I wished I had when my kids were itty bitty. What’s better is that so many of these recipes are excellent for cooking together — so you don’t just get to have the tea party, you get to make memories preparing for it together too.

Seriously, did I mention how excited I am?

Drawing inspiration from the 13 official Disney princesses and their respective movies, I’ve created the ultimate recipe book for tea party lovers young and old.

Whether you have a Disney Princess-loving child in your life or you are the Disney Princess-obsessed grownup, I hope you’ll check out my new book. It’s available for preorder now from all the usual suspects including Bookshop. For a signed copy, order from The Briar Patch in Bangor, Maine, my local independent bookseller.

This is the table of contents, which shows the five chapters and all the recipes in the book. These recipes were so fun to develop and make. I started by re-watching every movie and taking copious notes about iconic phrases, character traits, foods shown and more.

This recipe for Under the Seashell Cinnamon-Pear Tarts started with the idea of making a pastry that looked like a seashell. I tried it in several ways before landing on the perfect flavor and shape combination. I am so excited about how it came out!

Pizza … roses … perfect! Enchanted Pizza Roses were a fun way to celebrate the rose in Beauty and the Beast in a savory manner.

Evening Star Avocado Grilled Cheese, shown here, was another recipe that took several tries to get just right. I knew I wanted to combine the golden color of cheddar with a star shape. But what was the best way to achieve that? After multiple tries (and a whole lot of fails), this style won out.

And there are all sorts of drinks too! From teas to smoothies, these refreshing sips will make your tea party perfect. Palace Orange Blossom Chamomile Tea is on the more traditional side of tea party drinks.
